His family\, his new classmates\, and the larger community struggle to find compassion\, acceptance\, and understanding. The story of Auggie is a story of bullying\, its reality\, and its consequences. It is also a story of choosing to be kind. Wonder is the perfect back-to-school family movie. \n\n\n\nI have always told my students that changing a person’s mind begins with changing their heart. Each of us has a breast cancer story. Although we live far apart\, we share a strong family bond that has extended from generation to generation. Since 2008\, we have completed numerous adventures\, from backpacking and biking to kayaking and community races to hiking and half marathons. It has been a lot of fun and family time.
